ENGINEERING SUPPORT

Eaton Circuit Breaker services for clearer decisions

From an installed-device photo to a coordinated equipment schedule, we turn scattered inputs into an orderly breaker inquiry. The work begins with application facts, not an assumed one-for-one substitution.

Three focused support paths

01

New-build selection

Organize nominal voltage, load current, duty, enclosure environment, number of poles and installation method before checking an appropriate family. We also flag where an interrupting rating differs from an assembly SCCR.

02

Replacement screening

Record the full catalog number, handle and trip markings, panel labeling, physical dimensions and accessory connections. A similar ampere marking alone does not establish mechanical or electrical compatibility.

03

Document alignment

Match requested submittals to the specific series and target market. Datasheets, dimensional drawings and applicable listings are tracked separately so a general brand claim is not mistaken for product-level evidence.

Selection worksheets

Capture system and load data consistently.

Rating references

Compare voltage and interrupting-capacity fields.

Compliance records

Confirm documents for the selected series.

A four-step inquiry handoff

  1. DefineSystem voltage, phase, frequency and grounding
  2. QuantifyLoad current and available fault current
  3. FitPanel, mounting, poles and accessories
  4. VerifySeries documents, lead time and quotation scope

Selective coordination, arc-flash goals and upstream or downstream protection can change the correct answer even when two breakers share a frame size. For that reason, our support request asks for the system context and does not promise a substitute from a partial label. Final application and code compliance remain with the qualified engineer or authority responsible for the installation.
