Screen Eaton Circuit Breaker requirements in four passes
Move from incomplete part-name searching to a parameter set that an electrical specialist can evaluate.
Build the shortlist inputs
This screen is an inquiry aid, not an engineering configurator. The available fault current, enclosure conditions, trip behavior, number of poles, frequency, accessories and panel listing still require confirmation. For replacements, capture the complete existing catalog number and panel nameplate rather than relying on appearance.
See why one missing field changes the answer
Same current, different fault duty
Two 100 A feeders may require different interrupting capacities because their transformer size, conductor impedance and installation point differ. Record the calculated available fault current before comparing devices.
Same frame, different trip behavior
A frame designation does not fully describe the sensor, trip unit or curve. Motor inrush, transformer energization and coordination objectives can change the protection approach.
Similar footprint, unverified panel fit
Physical resemblance is not evidence of suitability in a panelboard. Use the panel label, manufacturer instructions and exact device references to verify the permitted combination.
